Mistletoe Dreams Card

Here is my take for November’s “Hang It All” theme for Splitcoast Stampers Fan Club Challenge.
I wanted to make a card featuring hanging mistletoe for my hubby to give him on Christmas Eve. Following Teresa Kline’s brilliant sketch, I layered papers from the Christmas Combo mat stack for the background. I die cut the music paper using Spellbinders Marvelous squares. I don’t have a mistletoe die, but I used the flowered swirl from Season’s Greetings #2 with a bit of cutting and added Liquid Pearls to make the mistletoe berries. I cut the tag from white cardstock & inked it using Tea Dye Distress Ink. I used a Winter Wonders stamp for the sentiment. I stamped the stitches across the top & bottom in Cotton White StazOn, but it wasn’t bright enough for the effect I was looking for, so I went over it with my white gel pen. A little gold twine to attach the tag and a double bow from seam binding finished it off.
Thank you for looking!

Old Lace Birthday Card.

Using some of the leftover supplies from Amazing Paper Grace's October kit, I made this card for my Aunt's birthday.
I used Spellbinders small & large classic ovals & floral ovals to layer the sentiment. I used one of the dies from Becca's kit on the side and layered a few paper flowers & a button. I used the lace from Graphic 45's Staples Trim and a triple pearl stick pin to finish off the front.
Inside, I printed the sentiment out and die cut it using one of Becca's dies. I used the same die as a stencil to cut around to make the mat out of kraft cardstock. And on the back, every birthday card should include the secret to staying young...)
Thank you for looking and thank you to Becca for another amazing kit! I hope your surgery goes well, Hun!

Finally! A card!...

I created this card for the Our Daily Bread weekly challenge - "Gold & Silver".
I used the ODB sketch from Octobers sketch challenge as my design inspiration. I cut "snowflakes" out of kraft cardstock using Spellbinder's Venetian Motifs & Exquisite Circles dies. I used alcohol ink in gold & perfect pearls to give them a frosted look. I stamped my images from "Warm Wishes" on white cardstock & colored the snowman scene with my copics. I finished it off with some liquid pearl "snow" on the trees & cut them out with a circle punch. I colored the brad with gold alcohol ink and then coated it with glossy accents to give it a little more dimension. The "star" behind it is actually the innies from the Venetian Motif diecut. I love how everything came together.
Thank you for the inspiration, ODB!
